Dear Mr. Netkin:

I found your webpage regarding Mr. Villaraigosa very interesting.

But I was most curious about his educational background , especially law school.  I did a Yahoo search and found he went to an "unaccredited" law school in LA, the People's College of Law (see their website).  I am not sure if he graduated from there...or if he took what is called the Baby Bar...which you must take and pass at unaccreditted law schools in CA.

I am shocked that his resume was never scrutinized by the LA or CA media.  I mean if a Anglo candidate, like Jon Jon was running for something they would be ALL OVER his academic record!  I do Not fault him for his choices in law schools or taking the Bar multiple times, but it is newsworthy.

Very truly yours,
Name Withheld

Dear Mr. Withheld:

I have been told by a law graduate that Villaraigosa does not have a law degree. I have tried to verify that Mr. Villaraigosa has any degree at all. His office says he does, but doesn't say what the degree's major is. I know that he was admitted into UCLA as an affirmative action student. Quite frankly, I don't think he has a degree in anything.

Since this email exchange of 2001, it has been verified that Antonio Villaraigosa failed to pass the California bar exam four times before finally giving up.
